FRISCO, TEXAS – For the second straight season, University of the Incarnate Word junior outside hitter
Angelique Vidaurri (San Antonio/Southwest HS) was named honorable mention all-Southland Conference in volleyball. The league announced their all-conference selections on Wednesday.
Vidaurri has had a career year for the Cardinals who have four matches remaining this weekend in Phoenix, AZ. She is averaging 3.18 kills and 0.75 blocks per set while posting a .210 attack percentage. She has been climbing up the school's career kills chart this year starting the season outside the top 20, but is now 13
th with 820. She needs 25 kills to move into 12
th all-time and is 84 kills away from the top 10. She needs 52 kills this weekend to reach 400 for the year.
Vidaurri was the only UIW player named to the all-conference team for a second straight season.
