2013-14 (Junior):  Martinez was one of two players to play in all 24 rounds for the Cardinals.  He would have likely ended up with the top scoring average on the team except for one poor round.  He broke 80 in 22 of 24 rounds, shot 75 or better in 18 rounds and went under par on five occasions.  He posted top 20 finishes at tournaments hosted by Sam Houston State, Cameron and McNeese State.  He tied for second at the UIW Litz Memorial Tournament where he went 74-74-75 on the par-72 Sonterra South Course.  His final tally was a 75.2 scoring average.  He was named to the Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.

2012-13 (Sophomore): Martinez played in 18 competitive rounds for the Cardinals and posted a scoring average of 75.4. He scored a season best 3-under par 69 at the Midwestern State Tournament on March 19, where he finished second place overall. He finished in 12th place in the Lone Star Conference Championships and was named on to the LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll. He was one of the most consistent players on the team posting only one round in the 80's.  He concluded the year with four top-20 finishes.

2011-12 (Freshman):  Martinez was named to the LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll.  He played in three tournaments playing a total of seven rounds.  He finished the year with a 78.9 scoring average.  He took 14th at the UIW Invitational, but posted his best round at the St. Mary's Invitational (73).

High School:  Martinez was on the golf team at McAllen High School.  He earned first team all-district and all-Rio Grande Valley.  He was also an Honorable Mention All-State selection.

Personal:  Martinez is the son of Humberto and Maria Martinez and is studying government.  He was born on March 24, 1993.
